Dear Members, we are Board XIV!
In order from left to right
Amapola Alonso – Chair
Hi! My name is Amapola, a first year student. I come from (the far lands of) Argentina, love to paint, read, play the guitar, yoga and to dance! Hoping to see u around a lot and make it a nice year 🙂
Guido Boven – Secretary
Hi Hi! I am Guido, and I will be your secretary next year! By then I am in the third year and writing my theses (for literature and philosophy – ugh), which will both probably be on poetry and psychoanalysis – definitely amazing topics!! (so maybe not too much ugh). For all Euphorion meetings I will be the scrivener (‘preferring not to’, but still doing so of course!!), and the replies to your emails will be coming from me as well! I hope to see all of you at our borrels and activities (where most of you have been underrepresented this year!) and I am excited to encounter all your energies and enthusiasms!
Loïs du Burck – Treasurer
Hi! My name is Loïs, I am a second year Literary Studies student and Treasurer of Euphorion! Although finance may not be my goal career wise, I am passionate about being organized and working precisely, so I am confident that I will stay on top of our budgeting. As chair of the Travel Committee, I will make sure to plan an unforgettable trip for everyone! I hope to learn many new things this year and to meet new people from our amazing study at all of our activities.
Merel Stuifmeel – Commissioner of PR
Hello, my name is Merel Stuifmeel, I am 20 (this summer to be 21) years old and I’m finishing up my second year of Literary Studies. I would call myself quite creative with a special interest in reading (no way!!), writing, poetry and art. Therefore I am very excited to be the Commissioner of PR. Other than that, I live in Brabant and I have a cat. I look forward to next year and to spending more time with you all!
Rana Saleh – Commissioner of Education
Hello sweet people, my name is Rana, I’m a first year student. I am pleasantly surprised how much the study broadened my horizon, I especially experienced that this year with the course Cultural Criticism. I am looking forward to hopefully continue this next year, anyone with weird/alternative world views please come talk with me, I love to philosophise. Besides reading, I am passionate about dance (contemporary, jazz and hip-hop), maybe we can go to a performance together next year? I also enjoy bouldering, writing poetry and doing fun things with my friends/Euphorion.
