Board XIII: 2021-2022

What’s left of the board this year

We’re delighted to introduce you to the 2021-2022 Euphorion Board!

From left to right:

Johanna (Jojo) – Chair

Hi guys, gals and non-binary pals! My name is Jojo (she/her), I’m 21 years old
and I’m gonna start my third year of Literary Studies in the fall. I was born in
Germany but you’ll find I know absolutely nothing about the country, but ey, I do
like beer! I moved around through Europe during my teens and decided to study
here in Utrecht because the city charmed me, the programme intrigued me and
the people are altijd gezellig. I am also in the Humanities’ Honors Programme at
UU, with a special interest in Postcolonial and Gender studies. Besides uni, I
have a burning passion for Rugby and any activity outdoors, especially BBQs and
beverages in the park with you all! See you soon!

Linsey – Secretary

Hi everyone! I am Linsey, I’m 22 years old and I’m in my first year of
Literatuurwetenschappen. Like everyone else in our course, I love reading! But in my
free time, I also like to hang out with friends, watch TV shows and spend time
outside. My first year at Utrecht has been a bit weird because of Covid, but I’m
really excited to be part of the Euphorion board! I hope to meet you all next year 🙂

Sterre – Treasurer

Hi everyone! My name is Sterre Brink, I’m 19 years old and I’m a first year
Literatuurwetenschap student. My home town is Benningbroek, a small village in
Noord-Holland, but I’ve lived in Nieuwegein for the past year to be closer to
university (not that it was necessary this year, sadly). Like everyone else here, I
love reading books, but other interests of mine include walking through nature,
playing the ukulele, listening to music and meeting up with friends.
For Board Xlll, I’m applying for the position of treasurer. My mom has been a
treasurer for the local marching band for years, so I have a little experience with
what the position entails. In addition, I’m an organised person when it comes to
financial matters, which I think is very important for a treasurer. On top of that, I
think being in the board will help me meet more people and be more involved in
organising things. I’m really excited to be the treasurer of Board Xlll!

Karline – Commissioner of Education

Hi, my name is Karline, I’m 20 and I am a candidate for the commissioner of
education next year. This means that I will be involved in education-related issues,
study books and the bookstore. By then I’ll be a third year student of literature,
which I’m sad about, since I really like the bachelor so far and I want to keep
learning things. I also have a lot (a lot) of hobbies and at every given moment I
can guarantee that there are at least 10 unfinished projects in my room. My
hobbies include (but are not limited to) reading (of course), painting, crocheting,
knitting, sewing, foraging through the woods and walking. Anything that’s creative
or that includes nature basically. Also, I love cats (very dearly)!! I’m very excited
to be part of the board this year!
